Whatever your nonprofit organization may be representing, it is important to get the word out there about what you do through social media!
You may be familiar with some of the most popular social media websites like Facebook and Twitter, but there is much more to it than that! If you want to make a big impact on the Internet, then it is worthwhile to check out all of the different options in social media. To start out with, begin creating videos about your organization and posting them directly to YouTube. From there, you can work in a chain effect and post links from the YouTube videos to your Twitter and Facebook accounts. This will allow all of your current followers and friends to access the new information, which they will potentially pass onto their own friends and followers in a ripple effect.
If you are nonprofit organization hoping to gain exposure, then it is important to educate people that may be interested in your cause. People will be more likely to donate to you if they can see informational videos about what you do, whether it is raising money for education, underprivileged children, or even an endangered species. The truth of the matter is that people out there really do want to become involved and donate to a cause, but how can they do that if they do not know what your organization is about? Social media is a convenient, not to mention virtually free, way to show people what your cause is about so that they can become involved!

YouTube, huh? Thanks for the tip…it makes sense. We’ll get right on it!
You’ve got a lot of bookmarks for various social media sites…because of time constraints, which few would be the best for a small business and a non-profit?
Thanks
